Jackman Fuels' History

In 1935 Glenn E. Jackman and Clarence Lathrop purchased the Thomas Mack Coal Company. A decade later, in 1945 Charles and Jeanne Jackman purchased Clarence’s shares and the company officially became Jackman Fuels Inc. After returning from the war in 1948, Ralph Jackman partnered with Charles. Ralph and Charles ran the business until 1987 when Charles son, Tom and his wife Arlene purchased the company. Since then Tom has grown the company to over 4,000 customers. He has managed to keep the small town feel while providing customers with heat and friendly service.

At the end of 2015 the business was passed down to yet another generation of the Jackman family. Today the company is owned and operated by Jesse, Beth, and James Jackman. Our hope is that we will continue providing the same quality and customer service that the community has grown to expect from this company.
